A Tribute to my GRANDPA MOODY.

This last week my Grandpa Moody passed through this life and into the next. My Mom's Dad was 86 years old and he has been suffering with Alzheimers' for many years. He suffered
a lot of pain in the end so we were all praying for him to be relieved of it. I have had many wonderful memories with my Gramps and Granny and I love him very much. Death is never easy for anyone (especially me) but I am so grateful for the comfort it is to know that he is still with us and we will be together again. I love you Gramps. I was blessed to have been able to be
in Arizona for the funeral, for 24 hours, it was a quick trip but it was so worth being there with all my Moody family (no, not moody as in grumpy). The funeral was so wonderful to hear memories of my Grandpa as my mom and aunts and uncles spoke about him. He was such a simple man. He didn't need the things of the world, all he needed was his family and a garden. He was an extreme health nut who loved to serve others and he had such a unique sense of humor. His poems and sayings that he wrote are hilarious. I loved seeing all my cousins that I hadn't seen in 10 years and I have so many fun and wonderful memories with them. It was a wonderful reunion with them. Thank you Mom and Dad for flying me to AZ to be with you all. Thank you Nana for watching Noah sleep for 4 hours! And a big thank you to Sheree, Vanessa and Boo for watching my girls so Adam could study for BOARDS today! It was worth suffering through the flight home and NOAH THROWING UP AND DIARRHEA EVERYWHERE! That in itself is another post. ha!
Here is one of my Grandpa's hilarious poems that I want to share with you:
"Let's clean up the world"
"Let's all get rid of pornography," I heard a great leader say,
And his words were very much with me as I went to work one day.
I'm a plasterer by trade, and they sent me to patch up a wall in this place,
It was a room where they restored old paintings, several of them were a disgrace.
They were ancient paintings of naked woman and a man,
I was ashamed to work in the place.
And I mentioned the paintings should have on some clothes,
And you should have seen the look on the manager's face.
"The subjects aren't naked," he answered.
"They are rightly called , 'in the nude'."
By now, I was really disgusted.
You might say, I was coming unglued.
"A great artist created those paintings,
And the viewer needs to have a clean mind."
But to me, they were obscene paintings.
They just were the ancient kind.
I tell you, my head was a swimmin'.
This didn't make sense at all.
This feller was readin' the good books,
But a naked woman hung there on the wall.
I sure wish someone would tell me,
How nude paintings of the past are immune,
And never once thought to be "no no's,"
While naked moderns are way out of tune?
I guess I'm a little old-fashioned,
But if a man's naked in Rome or in France,
And they painted his body 2,000 years ago,
I still say, "The fellar needs pants."
I talked to the school director
And told him that I didn't like that feller in the nude,
And I told him if he'd give me the power,
I'd sure put some clothes on that dude.
So my feelings about pornography are,
"Clean up our world here today,
But don't drag out some raunchy paintings from the past,
And try to tell me that they're O.K. "

BB's 4th Birthday!

Beautiful Brielle, Feb. 4th
chubby and cute

I know, I know I'm a slacker! A busy month and it is only getting busier so I better just POST! Brielle turned 4! Of course we had a great time but I was a slacker once again and ended up doing cupcakes at McDonalds with her buddies. McDonald's seriously???? The little girls seemed to love it and Brielle knows I love her still. She got everything she wanted and more. I love my happy and energetic munchkin and can't believe she is so big! When we moved here to Philly she was only 6 months and now 4! wow. Noah enjoyed sitting in his stroller and eating whatever, ending up with it all over him. And then that night we did our family stuff when Adam got home from school. Check out my party PJ's, wow I was in the mood! Happy Bday little rascal, I love you!

Family photes 2007

Some of you requested the rest of our family photos.... well here they are. Thank you so much Emily (and Luke, computer skills) for your expertise, talents and TIME! We were pretty cold so our kids didn't last very long. We were lucky to pull off a good shot of each of them and a few of all of us. It is so nice to have great friends that help us smile pretty for the camera.

Rough week for NOAH!

The week began like this. Eye infections, eating green boogers,
coughing. But, still smiling!

One morning found Brielle in the crib with Noah keeping him happy
until his hybernating mother woke up.

Today finally brought some sledding material! So we headed
over to Chaffee's to sled down their hill. Adam was having
a jolly old time in traffic in the snow so he stopped to get some
food with his buds. In the meantime we are playing in the snow
and this happens........

The week is ending like this!!! so sad... Noah took a tumble.
Call me a bad mom for not watching him closer, I know!

Tylenol, butterfly bandage and a warm bottle put him right
to sleep. Hopefully it won't leave a huge scar.
Noah's first major shiner. I love my boy.

Raisin' the Roof!!!

Wow! What a great couple weeks of fun and VOLLEYBALL that we have had. It started a few weeks ago, Dec. 1st when my mom called and said she had a ticket for me to fly to Seattle to see Chelsea play at #6 Washington for NCAA finals. There was only one problem, I was suppose to do so many things that weekend for our ward activities. I told my mom I probably couldn't go and then 10 mins. later I called her back and said, "I'm coming!" I couldn't miss it, and I got subs to cover the things I had to do. I dropped it all and left the next morning at 7:00 am with Noah and we had such a blast. BYU won Friday night and then Washington was Saturday and they beat them too! That was one of the best games I have ever seen. Thank you mom, I had so much fun with you. The miracle of it all was that the Sweet Sixteen region they were in was at PENN STATE for the next weekend. So Mom, Dad, Evonne and Justin (Chelsea's boyfriend) headed over here 4 days later. Friday, we all headed up in the snow to Penn State. Our friends the Milmonts and Chaffee's also came to scream with us! We are glad they drove 3 long hours to support BYU! BYU played so good Friday night and beat Middle Tennessee to make it to the Final 8! Chelsea was amazing and I'm not going to be humble about it, she is so flippin' good! We all camped out at the hotel that night and prepared mentally (ha!) for the big PENN STATE game on Saturday. We knew it would be a hard one to beat them (the best in the nation) and it was a hard loss. Chelsea gave it everything she had and it was hard to see her career at BYU end, but.... she has accomplished so much and we are so proud of her! She received All American again this year! I love you sis and I'm proud of you! You are invited to play on my city team next year........ ha!
