AND NOW, presenting CLOVIS, NEW MEXICO!

Here is our home, we don't believe in grass here!
Kind of a pain in the butt..... but I am thankful for
a nice house to rent with new stuff and no fixer uppers.
And yes, that is a real sky! Isn't it beautiful!
Inside our living room, Brielle watching princess
movie of course.

I don't know how I feel about this license plate.
"Land of Enchantment" ??? what is that all about??

Start off Clovis with a bang and the MIL's came to visit
us from 10 hours away!!! that is LOVE! thank you for coming
and cheering me up our first weekend here. I know it was
such a long drive and it meant everything to us.
PUERTO RICO LIVES ON!!!

This kills me! I cried and laughed when
I got this in the mail. Yep folks, this is
all of Clovis/Portales white AND yellow
pages. (Aryn, have I got Star, ID beat?)

The girls discussing what they are going to do
when Grandma and Grandpa get here, pretty cute!
They were waiting about an hour in front of the winda!
Thank you MOM and DAD for taking the time to come and
see this little place. My parents did so much for us in the three
days they were here. My Dad and Adam went golfing, we went
shopping, of course to SUPER WAL-MART and they hung curtains,
pictures, organized, spray-painted bed and crib (my mom's finger is still numb),
played games, talked and laughed, and yes, cried when they left! They took Adlee
home with them for a few weeks to AZ until I come to visit this week. LOVE YOU!!
Amazing firework show on the 4th.
Clovis is the home of the Cannon Air Force Base so the
4th was a huge thing, and I think the show might be close
to being better than the STADIUM of Fire in Provo......

Waiting patiently to begin the fireworks.

Who knew we could have so much fun without
grass in our backyard too!

Noah was not allowed in the house and screamed
at me from outside.

Finding thrills with the packing paper.

And then, THE DAIRY FEST! oh yes, this is
a big deal! kids loved it and we loved it too. They served
FREE cheeseburgers, yogurt, milkshakes and had some
game booths going on too. We stayed as long as we could
before the thunderstorm came. The first week we were
here there was a lighting storm everynight. It was great!

Eating our food, yum yum!

Our kids could live here forever if we would
only get them one of these.

Thought this was a great phote of our new lifestyle.
Just kidding, I will not be doing any farming soon.

Girls loving the Dairy Fest at the Curry County
Fairgrounds. Please say that like a TEXAN!!
We are basically in Texas anyways. about 10 mins
I think.

This is a story that must be shared.
So we met some great friends, Chad and Diana Prior.
He is a physician that works on the Base and so we
travel into the "Communist Neighborhood" as my friend
calls it every week to play games and let the kids hang out.
Well, this particular night Adam and I were there late and his
"pass" expired at 11:00 that night. We didn't get out of there until
1:00 am because we were playing a great game of Puerto Rico.
Adam ended up getting pulled over on our way out, they said he didn't
make a complete stop, but he totally did, they were just power hungry and
bored. So they told him his "pass" was expired and asked him if he had been
drinking at the party at the base bar that evening. He had to do a silly test with
his fingers counting back and forth, which he failed because he only did it 2 times and
not three. Then he repeated f-k in the alphabet and was only suppose to go to J. He
was so nervous thinking they were going to shoot him for being on base after hours and then the
spotlight in his face while they stood there looking all MACHO! Because he did both of the tests wrong, they made him get out and WALK THE LINE!!!! I pulled over in front of him and stopped so I could follow him home and I was laughing my head off and took this picture. Adam was so ticked off at the military cops and then the cops were ticked off at me for taking this picture. Oh well! It was pretty hilarious and Adam is just now starting to laugh about it.

My handsome Dr. Bunker on his first day of work.
Brush, brush, brush you want good breath now
because you're a dentist.
I have been to the Super Wal-mart way too many times
and I'm really missing Target and Costco. But other than that
we are having fun together and our ward is awesome. Adam is
the 1st counselor in the young men's presidency and I am ..........
guess............. Primary 1st counselor! I just belong with the children and
I love it.
NOw, what do you all think of Clovis??? I only
want to hear positive feedback and encouragement. ha ha

If you have time while you are in AZ I would love to meet up with you...give me a hollar if you have a chance. Cute house and for only being in Clovis for such a short time you have got a lot done...small towns are great for little fair type activities so I think the kids will love it, and so will you! Tell Adam to sober up and get to working so you guys can make it to AZ SOON :)

I love Clovis already! What I also love is reading all your comments on everyone’s' blogs--I've been doing major catch-up--and your comments are cracking me up!

As for encouraging words on Clovis, may I just say that growing up in a small town is the BEST thing for children. They learn to appreciate the simple things, they learn to be creative and invent their own fun, and they don't grow up to be high-maintenance. I could go on and on, but I don't need to--I'm confident that you'll soon enough realize and appreciate all the great benefits small town living has to offer.

I do hope in a town that small you can find some decent v-ball and that Adam can find someone to argue with about anti-depressants, female sports commentators, dealing with death, etc…

Miss you guys!

So where have I been? Clovis?? Is that where you guys have been planning on going? Oh well, it looks great to me. So buck up and enough COMPLAINING about the no target and Costco. That is the best part about small towns and you will soon love it. I could go on and on about much better things to do than shop. But yes, hard transition if you aren't used to it. I guess that's what I am used to. House looks great, but man it may be a bit far for visiting. Is this permanent?

It actually does not look as bad as you described it. You'll soon learn to love a small town! I promise. There are all sorts of festivities and activities that go with small town life.... and yes we actually might have had you beat in Moscow, with a smaller phone book!

Well, that's quite a hop, skip and a jump away from AZ isn't it? Looks like quite a fun adventure though. Hope you love it there. Sounds like they have fun things going on there and I think you can live just about any place there's a Wal-mart. :) Good luck!
